Cary D. Glastein, M.D.
Dr. Cary Glastein is a Fellowship trained spine surgeon. He has an interest in degenerative problems
of the adult spine, including disc herniations, and spinal stenosis. Dr. Glastein has published papers on
spinal surgery, and was a contributor to "The Textbook of Spinal Surgery."
He trained in orthopaedics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine,
Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He then completed an intensive year-long Fellowship in
spinal surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell Medical Center. At Special Surgery, he
specifically studied problems of the spine, including degenerative disc disease of the cervical (neck), lumbar (lower back),
and spine, laser disc surgery, spinal fractures, and spinal fusion.
Dr. Glastein is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons,
and an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at the Hahnemann Medical School In Philadelphia. He is also
Associate Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program at Monmouth Medical Center.
