Charles C. Rizzo, M.D.
Dr. Rizzo is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. Upon
receiving his Medical Degree, Dr. Rizzo completed his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at New York
University Medical Center. He then went on to continue his training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine
at Thomas Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa. During this specialized training, he served as
assistant team physician for several professional teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, and
Phillies, as well as numerous college and high school teams. Currently, Dr. Rizzo is a team physician for Monmouth University
and several local high schools. Dr. Rizzo has been a Master Instructor at the Orthopaedic
Learning Center in Chicago, teaching other orthopaedic surgeons the most current techniques
in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. He has written articles for publication
on the topic of knee and shoulder instability, and is currently involved in research
and development of new surgical techniques.
